For me Guild Ball was the game that truly started it all. It wasn’t my first minis game but it was definitely the first one that I cared about. That being said, I discovered the game months after they shut down the game and have literally played 6 games in the 2 years and change since I bought the entire collection. Regardless, you can imagine my excitement when Steam forged Games announced that they need some a quick influx of cash, I mean that Guild Ball was coming back!!! As I stated before, I got the entire collection shortly after shut down for absolute steals and deals so when they released the kick off box as free STLs I didn’t NEED to print them but my resin printer just kind of sits unused most days so I decided to anyway. My resin printer has been dialed in for a long time now so no errors on these and in fact, I got a compliment in the discord for how crisp they came out.
Shout out to my walking cannon in back for the Malifaux Cavalier keyword I’ve been dabbling in. So I decided that I definitely didn’t need to keep any of these so I gave a quick prime and hid them in a box of paints I was letting my friend borrow. My friend definitely is not looking for a new game at the moment as we both just got into Conquest: Last Argument of Kings. But I figured he’d open the box when he got home see them and then he either throws them away and I’ll never know so my feelings aren’t hurt or he keeps them and now I have my foot in the door for a future Guild Ball game. Turns out he didn’t wait till he got home to open the box, saw the minis and was pretty appreciative actually. He definitely left the door open for a future game! Okay, that’s one too many door sayings so I’ll leave you with one last picture of the final product.
P.S. Ignore the hobby clutter, it gets cleaned up in between projects or when Yams yells at me.
